The Foundation for the Preservation of Flossmoor History is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that was founded in late 2022.
Our mission is to bring the Flossmoor community together, past and present, to celebrate our distinct history and understand how it shapes our promising future, and anchors the Southland, through education and arts.
Our vision is to highlight Flossmoor as a beautiful South Suburban community where diversity in all forms thrives, and where residents, business owners, and visitors are inspired, welcomed, supported, and connected.

Our board of directors is committed to preserving the rich heritage and cultural identity of Flossmoor, fostering a sense of community, promoting education, and ensuring that future generations have access to the knowledge and stories that define us. Through this work, we celebrate our past, learn from it, strengthen the bonds that unite us as a village, and leave a lasting impact, creating a legacy for the years to come and enriching the lives of everyone in our community.
